thanks guys, i got my windows up and runnin now, but i'd like to set up a dual boot for linux, will it give me that option when i install it or do i need to partition my drive first?
It depends on the distro. I know that Ubuntu Dapper can resize ntfs partitions (very helpful if you have no free space). If you have free space, most any large distro will create the requird grub entries to dual boot automaticlly.
