funni_gum it looks like you put the wire in your motherboard. Your supposed to put it in the main atx connector of the power supply. Follow what jeremy said in his post above explaining how to do it. I would think if your lights dim while you plug it in that the power supply is working. Try reseating your cpu, ram, and video card.
