Default DUAL BOOT woes

well guyss a very bright noon to you all..

once again I m here with my problem..
i had got a new Hard drive, and i wanted to install, winXP as well as some linux distro. but trust me i have been trying since last month but i m unable to do so..

HAve read many forums and googled a lot for it.. but none of the help worked. so i m here to you guys to solve the problem.

what i did was, i made three partitions of my system and installed winxp on one, and the other for linux swap and then for ext3 for linux root.

installed XP in that and started installing fedora from the CDs.. i had not installed anything else, on XP.. it was jus core windows xp

installed fedora and in that while installing GRUB, i did some setting, i installed GRUB or bootloader in the root partition, other than MBR. Also i made the default system as winxp.

Now when the installation was complete and i rebooted the system. i din get any OS choice message or somethin

now i donn know what to do. linux is simply not there. one of my friend recommended a tool i.e. OSL2000 .. that is a boot loader, it pops up everytime after POST screen, i do select the partition on which i installed linux and it is labeled with linux, but it just doesnt boot..

guys please help me.... tell me what shall u do, i mean if there is a method i need to follow, i can do that, as my hdd is still new and doesnt have any data on it..

thanks and regards
