I would have suggested a Powerbook g4 T2 for the workin. Try to get one with an ATi Mobility RADEON instead of nVidia. Get a Powerbook G4 titanium or any other Mac notebook if you're going to school. Desktops are not an option, and nor is intel worth the free hotdog.
