nope. this is because the amount of video ram that games use is not enough to have need of 256MB. 128 is plenty. tests have shown that 2 cards exactly the same except that one have 256 and one has 128, the card with 256 will give you about 2fps more than thother one(maybe it's 0.2 i don't remember)
