i'm not sure about cost, but tape drives are VERY efficient. Like DENIGO said, you can pop a tape drive in before you leave for the day and you dont need to do ANYTHING else...everything should be scheduled to run by itself...if something goes wrong with the backup job, you will find out about it the next morning. Or you can remote access the network and check it over nite...
