HD-Component Video Cable $40
3 Wireless Controls $150
4 Play n Charge Kits $80
Wireless Adapter $99
DVD Controller $30
2 Memory Cards $80
3 Headsets $60

Okay, now lets try to make it comparable to what a computer would have. $400 for the normal system. Forget the 3 wireless xtra (not needed), 4 play and charge kits... another subtraction, no head sets needed because we are keeping this apples to apples here, 2 memory cards... huh??? HDD, guess if you wanted to transfer save games BUT the HDD is removable... not needed, DVD controller - already comes with one (although not universal), wireless adapter? Guess if you want one, thats fine... tack that on also to you computer system as well, or do what I do and know how to network (cause I do it for a living, system engineer) and really after looking all this in an actual similar setup... well, the listing you have is way off. Maybe you may wanna add $50 or whatever for a cable to hook it upto a computer monitor but that would be up to you.

Now, if I truelly want to be a ***** and apple for apple comparison... lets see, add to the computer the cost of a dual proc (and then add some more because its 3x general pupose core), top of the line card (that one is hard to say because it has a very unique architecture), add xtra for a MBD with new architecture and 6 threads. Kind of think of it like this. How much (realistically now) do you think a MBD JUST coming out would cost if it was a tri core with hyper threading (because of the hardware threads) and this isn't even including the engineering you would have to fund that involved other architectural differences like unified structure for pixel shading, the communication of all the processors, dynamic procedural synthesis (allows for on the fly rendering of backgrounds, thus all the different lush trees and grass seen in some demos. They were NOT rendered via hand but via hardware), direct L2 read/write by the GPU, the list goes on. Sooo..... take all that into consideration and be more fare when comparing the computer with the console. This is also coming from a PC fan (comes with the job) AND a console fan. They all have there pluses and minuses. However, the above post was just not on the mark.
