Default Camera mounted on bike

Ok ive always wondered what it would be like to put a camera on my bike when me and my friends race down the busy streets of my town. I would get the camera for that and for videos me and my friends do for stunts. It couldnt be over $400 and has to be durable but has really good quality. I was looking at dv cameras and the interface can be whatever. Im custom making a bracket on my bike so its really sturdy but has suspension so it doesnt get every bump and making it so the only way the camera can get hit is if someone hits it with their hands or if i flip foward which wont happen because i have no front brakes. Tapes arent an issue cause my dad has alot but shouldnt be neccessary if i put it all on my pc.
