I have used it for a week now. If your used to windows, there are some things that way seem weird, but even I have figured out the freedom of customizability with Linux (Fedora Core 1)
Another pro is that it is free. Easily avalible, and there is variety. I am glad a satisfied my curiosity, mind you, I have come across a couple of issues on the way, but to be honest, i like fixing stuff anyways...
