I'm not looking for equivalents. I'm looking for great software that you personally use and recommend. Such software can be browsers, media players, text editors, IM tools, Server tool, or just about anything.

I'm a personal fan of wine as it is something I can use to still have some control over windows applications.

I'm also a fan of GAIM because it supports all messengers.
