Sadly, this is really true. IT guys hamper the development of corporate networks a lot of times because theyre really quite lazy and all they want to do is maintain the network and not really do much to improve it until theyre forced to either by the people who pay them or by system failure. Ive seen it at my dad's office. For a while, a majority of his office was running P2 era computers and software up until about the time when Windows XP came because I think the IT guys were too lazy to take the initiative in asking for and installing new systems. They have their stuff together now, but for a while I was quite worried that my dad would be running in the stone age for years...
