I heard some School that switched to Linux/Openoffice and they provided the teachers/students with lessons that teach them how to use them. Even though its pretty easy to use it.
That, I think is a great idea. Saves the taxpayers money, and keeps the script kiddies from executing their junk (from dad's PC) off the network.
One way to prevent viruses? Use an OS they don't run on.
