I recently connected a new computer to my network and am having some trouble seeing it through any means other than a ping. I can't see it in My Network Places. I can't see in through Entire Network. I can't create a shortcut to it or map to it with or without the IP. It can map to another machine but only if I use the IP of that computer. The computer is running Server 2003 so maybe there is a permissions issue I am not aware of. I have another machine running server 2003 and I have no issues with it at all. The new machine is on the correct workgroup and has a unique machine name, it is getting a valid IP from the router and it can get out on the net. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it, I am ripping what little hair I have left out on this one.
