However, the server versions of both operating systems are required to do more advanced functions, say create/manage a mail server or an advanced SQL database. The only real differing factor is that OSX server, for an unlimited license, costs $1000; the same price as the standard, 5 license version of Windows Server 2003 (don't trust me? Ask
