Are you planning on your parents getting you one of those while in the U.S.? If so, will the voltages be the same for them from U.S. to Australia?
|
Like our beer, the voltage is stronger down here. So that would mean that I would have to pick up an transformer for it. Or see if the AUS Power Adapter will still work.
Actually, my main consern would be warranty? Like would it be international? Or it's just local RTB.
If it's international, the good, I can take it to the local apple centre. However if the warranty is national, then i am going to dump the idea very quickly.
Judging from the responses so far, I think i'll do the iPOD.

Apart from 20Gb more hard drive space in the iPOD, is there any thing more that i am getting the with 40Gb iPOD.
To my understanding, an iPOD is nothing more than a Laptop hard drive in a portable music enclosure. So if Apple thing that i am going to pay an extra $100 for a bigger laptop hard drive (with normally around about AU$20 more), I'll stick with the 20Gb model as the 40Gb Model price increase (IMHO) is unjustified.
