Well the reason why Bing takes longer to load the first time everyday is cause it has to cache the image. Which is something that Google doesnt have to do. Which is why every visit after is faster cause the image is already cached.
If you use iGoogle with a custom theme then they would be about the same. Since you would then have to load images on both.
