Default Re: Intrepid Beta - Can't even boot to LiveCD. Error.

Yeah, the problem is fixed. Turns out it was a problem with my motherboard specifically. They updated the patched version on daily build Ubuntu, however, that's not where I got my ISO from. So I had an older non-patched version.

I'm currently running on Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10 64 bit Beta, and I must say, I thoroughly enjoy it. My ASUS P5QL is now fully supported (it seems) considering the last thing that was problematic was my onboard LAN, which is now supported out of box.

With my system specifically, I can't find anything that's insanely WOW OMGOSH! about Intrepid. But I must say, it is definitely an upgrade. There are a lot of little things with it that you sit back and think, aww, isn't that neato?

I'm surprised at how stable it was. I had google earth crash on me once or twice when I hit F11 about 30 times in a row to test how well it handled going in and out of full screen. I also had an error pop up saying Gnome crashed, yet, everything seemed perfectly fine. BUT, it's in beta testing yet. Couple more days to go!

Regardless, I am floored at how stable it is, how smooth it runs, how quick the speed is, and how easily my Nvidia drivers were installed. (177). Fricken love it.
