Juice Boosted Scam
Pyramid Scam roars on
As we mentioned last week, a scam outfit is taking the bold claims of dial-up compression over the line, promising users not only free "broadband", but also payment if users receive spam, a 404 error, or virus once their phantom product is installed. As ongoing discussion in our our forums indicates, the scammers have ripped off their site design from a legit dial-up compression service dubbed OnSPeed. While dial-up compression providers often skirt legal guidelines (and occasionally cross them), they're usually bright enough to avoid outright fraud. One user points us to lengthy discussion over at the Scam.com forums as well. It's frightening that there's any debate over the legitimacy of the operation's ridiculous claims.
