OK I found a pretty good guide... available
here for anyone with similar setup. I overclocked my cpu to 3ghz and ram to 4-4-4-12 with stock voltages. Should I push it further? I can already play crysis on high settings with good fps. I still need to stress test it. Is there anything wrong with the way I did this?
