Default Re: Computer won't boot up Windows - endless rebooting loop

Hey Makaveli:

I was able to stop the automatic reboot by pressing F8 and selecting it as an option.

Here is the error message:

----------------------

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. Check your hard drive configuration, and check for any updated drivers. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x00000024 (0x001902FE, 0xF78D2814, 0xF78D2510, 0xBA697163)

*** Ntfs.sys - Address BA697163 base at BA68A000, DataStamp 45cc59b4

------------------------------

I tried to run Windows Repair, but it won't let me get there, this screen shows up again when I press "Enter to Install Windows".....

What should I do????? Is there any way I can recover my hard drive contents and then just do a fresh install?
