Re: New Games Require Online Validation Every 10 Days? I'm not a big fan of forced validation--is pirating really that much of a problem? It was bad enough on HL2, when that came out we only had dial up and it was on the family pc at that, not on mine. Had to buy a modem and cables just to validate on Steam. I've got high speed now, sure, but not all gamers have a stable internet connection. Makes installing games on multiple pcs the user owns (one desktop one laptop, for example) much more difficult as well. The dedicated always find a way around this stuff anyways so what's the point, really? All this hooblah just delays the inevitable crack for a few weeks and makes using the game more inconvenient for the honest folks.
