Run CCleaner and Cleanup!, you can get them from my guide on the sticky above this thread
Make sure you also run the Registry fixes within CCleaner. Also make sure msconfing>startup is cleaned up. Only your antivirus should be checked, if it isn't, then make sure it is then reboot. See if you notice any changes after all this.
