it isn't suppose to be out till tommorow, but a couple vendors have been shipping early. Intel has the embargo set for the 20th I think so you will not see big etailers like newegg selling them yet. If your rig is primarily for gaming, that's the way to go, quads are the way to go for video editing rendering and stuff like that. The E8400 will blow away the Q6600 when it comes to gaming, since there aren't even any games out optimized for 4 core yet. The E8500 will be out in like a week. It offers a little higher clock speed and a .5 higher multiplier but at +$100, the E8400 is the sweet spot for price/performance.
