jakec - I seen that after posting this and did that same fix to my laptop. The downside is, when I plug in headphones, my main speakers don't shut off... Kind of renders headphones useless for using the laptop as my jukebox in lab doing school work.
In doing this, I decided to just use Vista as my primary OS with a small partition of Ubuntu Linux. That way in the future I can boot to Ubuntu to see if new updates (as I get them) fix any issues.
My main desktop is still Ubuntu Linux and will remain that way. But for the laptop, which I use at school and stuff, it kind of makes sense to use it since Vista works 100% with the laptop (wireless, sound, etc) and also is compatible with other school applications that I need.
Which - I have another thread going on about this topic, but speaking of Vista... is there a way to increase the size of my Vista partition when it's already established + installed?
