Recommended Builds Guide in Trotter's "Tutorials" sticky. I like yours more, b1gapl, but it just seems weird having two.
One (time consuming) idea to improve this post would be to do something like this to include links to the product on other pages:
[N][T][C] Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Processor
[N] = Newegg
[T] = Tiger Direct
[C] = Club IT
If this is a bit much, then even just Newegg links would be better...
