I installed 7.10 on my laptop and ALMOST everything has been simple and easy. The stuff that didn't corrupted the whole system and made it a nightmare though.
I have a ThinkPad A21p, I have a Broadcom AirForce One chipset. It found the chip and correctly reported that it needed a proprietary firmware. It downloaded the fwcutter, then it downloaded the firmware, and it was up and running in no time. However, the hotkey-setup package corrupted, so my volume buttons don't work, and the package broke other packages, so I had to reinstall the system.
