Anyways, the trouble would be (from your description) only with the wireless. Since you can connect to the internet when WIRED to the router, there is no need to verify and go through the hardware connections, as a problem there would prevent wired access to the internet also.
We have many puzzle pieces, but there are still a few missing... Your router (DI-524) is an 802.11g router. Since your computer can see the network, I can assume that it is using 802.11 B or G. Do you have any security on the wireless in the router? Are you getting an error when trying to connect? What does it say specifically? |
Thanks for the reply. Luckily I have been able to fix the problem by doing pretty much the same things I've done before......only this time it works!
I have no real explanation to give. The main difference on this attempt was putting WPA on.
Anyway, it's working now so I'm happy because I've been working on it all weekend.
