Clicking on it brings up http://winantivirus.com/download/200...x.php=swp.wa7p....

Also the Task Bar has a balloon that reads: “Your computer is infected. Windows has detected spyware infection. Recommend to use special anti spyware tools to prevernt (sic) data loss. Windows will now download and instal. Click here.”

Clicking on it brings up the same web page noted above.

Running Norton Antivirus does not show up any virus problems.

Also, the Control panel line in the Start section is now missing.

What do I do?
(a) to remove the balloon from the task bar
(b) remove the pop up message
(c) do I download from the web page above?

Any ideas please?

Thanks
Pop up from where? Some website online? I would not worry about it, it's a scam.
