I've taken ipods apart (with a precision flat head at the side of the ipod, where the FastForward button is. you put it anywhere else you run the risk of breaking the ipod ). they are not like creative or other players. they don't use a standard harddrive.

so you can't upgrade it to 180 gig unless you got the the drive from apple.
