Yes, pretty much. Music quality is determined by the Bit Rate, i.e 64kbps is low quality 300+ is good. The sampling rate, i.e. 96khz is high. And the Bit Depth, 24Bits are used on modern Sound Cards, 16 Bits on lower quality ones.

Atleast thats what i think, your music might sound bad if its been played through bad quality speakers or sound card.

Crysalis or EricB are the ones to listen to though, they should be able to clear things up.
