Ok, im posting for a friend hes stuck and its a really important coursework file, all help would be good. heres the situation:

my friend did work at his school and sent the file home to his hotmail account. He uses firefox so when he clicked the file it said would you like to open or save as. He clicked open continued doing his coursework. He then clicked file > save (not save as), he did this during the work a few times. He then closed word and he cant find the file he was working on

Any ideas how he can get the file back?
