All of the real power series (including 450W) are quite reliable. my 450W Cooler Master could handle my overclocked 4600+, and voltmodded 7950 GT quite stably.
My source on that was Bigred on Overclockers Club.

He said that through his experience that the higher end models are those that which haven't caused him or people he knew peoples...

He goes through alot of hardware for testing purposes. Hes a beta tester and recieves many components for free or reduced price.

He even had the ATI 2900 cards a month or so early for testing..

Not to say you had better experiences with them..

If it make you happy I could add coolermaster to the lower and medium builds..
