not to rain on your parade, but imaging a machine that has joined a domain will cause you a ton of problems down the road. If you need to install anything that is on the domain, as long as you can get on the network (i.e. plug in get IP) you can pass credentials to the network. So adding to domain was not needed.
FYI, I design and create custom builds for corperations, so I can speak to this first hand.

Do you have a valid IP?
can you try connecting to a network location? i.e \\server\share
Is the firewall turned on?
Can you ping the DNS server?

are you using a local user account?
