It wouldn't be a bad idea to enable the security measures as well.... I wouldn't consider a MAC filter very solid security when used alone... my router uses WPA security with a 63 character ASCii key, AND MAC filtering, AND I have it in a subnet that only allows 6 useable addresses, as I have 6 hosts including the router.
