This won't work unfortunately.

What do you mean it does not support 1080p? What resolution is your monitor. My old 7800gtx is serving as a media center running 1920x1080 on my 40" 1080p tv.

Can you access msconfig?
Go to start, run type msconfig and press enter. Then go to startup click disable all and then reboot.
