Hello,

I was thinking about purchasing a 19 inch widescreen monitor for my computer.

I was wondering whether 19 inch would be [B]tall[/B] enough to work with programs such as Microsoft word and photoshop?

Also, how tall is 20 inches?

A 19" widescreen gives 25.5cm of vertical screen. I can't be bothered to boot the PC with it on but you do notice the lack of vertical space but its not enough to dismiss widescreen if you are going to use it a lot for movies or games.

The applications don't care what the size of the screen is.... They will work fine be it a 15" monitor or a 22" widescreen, it is all personal preference. If you are REALLY that unsure about it, I would HIGHLY recommend that you go to a store and try out a demo PC with the same style monitor to see wethere or not it will suit you.

If you're going widescreen, I'd recommend at least a 20" monitor.

Do you know of any good quality 20 inch monitors, that are under 200 pounds?

Ł5 over but still a really good screen. Otherwise the Samsung on that site for 199.
