As Apokalipse said, you need to have some particles in the air for the light to bounce off of to be able to see the beam. Go out at night with a flashlight in a CLEAR area, no fog, no clouds, etc.... can you see a beam of light, literally a CYLINDER of light in the AIR, no... if you shine it through smoke from a campfire, or fog, THEN you can see it. WOW Edit I will never play with one again. I was pointing one at a house and they called the cops and i pointed it at his car(not knowing). Well in like 15 minutes they had 3 cops at my door 2 with pistols 1 with a AR15 Assault Rifle. Bad experience so i will never ever play with laser pointers again. The truth is that they attract a lot of attention if used in inadequate settings. And just for general knowledge Wicked lasers is sationed in CHINA, hellooooooo, why would I want to spend anything above 100 dollars from china so I can receive in pieces and never get my money back, this has been the main issue wickedlasers has always had along with custom control due to customer complaints... The highest powered laser pointer that have in the green is the 100mW PHOSPHOR from biglasers.com I also purchased a 200mW red laser pointer from them aswell. They both were awsome, the PHOSPHOR can literally be seen for 65 miles and is just how it appears on that image displayed on the first link of the forum.
