hi all

i think my notebook has a bad memory slot/bay/whatever it's called. it's only reading the memory installed in one but not in the other (i've tried different ones), is there a way to test it to absolutely know that's what it is? how much can i expect the fix to cost if i'm right? tia

Use memtest86 to check, if it's bad memory slot than hope your warranty is still active.

thanks for the link.

i guess the slot isn't working because its only reading one of the memory sticks. unfortunately the warranty expired long ago on this thing so i'll have to pay out of pocket.
