Which is overall better for a hard drive? I've never used SATA before so any info is useful:D

you can buy a card (ex pci)

or a lilttle converter that you plug into the ide pins ON the drive

Your choice...

BUT most boards have sata these days...

However make sure you have your motherboards SATA drivers handy on floppy disk before fromating your computer.

If only I purchase my current motherboad one week later, i would of had SATA. :(

SATA 2 (SATA II) has increased the theoretical max. speed to 300MB/Sec and had NCQ for supported drives. NCQ is native command queing. It means if the cpu makes request A, B, C, D, E it will do it in the order C, A, E, D, B if it is more efficient.

Most mobos dont have sataII yet, (mine does)

Sata is the new version of IDE

You dont always want new stuff but in this case you do...
