Very simple: 1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. Posted by: Shumway Shakie your too slow :D this has already been posted a couple time's.
true... but not here... at least when I did a search I couldn't find it. so :p Posted by: jinexile
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. Posted by: extendcradle Nice information shacky....Even if this information exists somewhere,I still have no idea that this is possible so this is a nice post. Posted by: Lonewolf5460 yah it is nice info already done it to firefox.can some one sticky this in the browser section. Posted by: bart No bad even it already is some were else Thanks Posted by: TMan7000 Thanks, It works great for me Posted by: Tyler1989 I'm trying it now but I'll be ticked if this screws anything up when I update down the road. Edit: One part of your tutorial is flawed I'll go make a better one elseware :p . I'll give you a hint SP2 restricts the amount of connections a program can have you need to do a system hack then the firefox hack... Edit2: hey everyone I'm so sorry. I intended to fix the flaw when I got back from vacation but I never did but late is better than never. XP SP2 limates the number of downloads/steams/connections an app can have. So nothing will go above 10 I think. You need to hack the registry to allow 50 connections at one time. I'll ask Eric to post the automatic registry hack or I can upload mine if I can find it. Posted by: reice Ya thanks this was very simple Posted by: Vormund
Originally posted by reice Ya thanks this was very simple
 I suggest you move up two years, get Firefox 2, and let FasterFox do the altering for you. vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited.
