I'm having a big problem right now. I'm not sure what is causing it or anything. On my search engines that I use, Yahoo and Google, I can't do any image searches or click preferences or anything. It will only let me do web searches which rarely work. When I try to click on images it always give me a # symbol such as www.google.com/# and goes no further. Then on Yahoo, in my popular search window, it displays pornographic searches which I have not entered. I have Norton Internet Security/ Antivirus and Ad-Aware SE, both fully updated. They don't pick up a thing. Any help at making things work properly is appreciated. Thanks

Just curious. Is there anyone else who has access to ur computer?.. A curious kid or a dorm buddy (depending on ur family situation) :)

Porn sites on yahoo search.. Now that sounds fishy.. lol..

no, I'm the only one with access. I keep my computer fully updated and everything. It all started with a spyware attack when i accessed freeserials.com. Even after everythings been removed, the above problem still happens. The only time porn's ever been on my computer was when I was doing a search for a college topic and clicked on a supposedly straight link and it redirected me to a porn site. Can't remember what it was. I just want to know how to fix it.

Well, accessing a site like that MIGHT do it...

Have you looked at who their ad partners are (btw, I googled them so I know who they are without going there).

As to how to fix it, follow the instructions in this thread: http://www.tech-forums.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34713 Liz

Thank you. I probably won't be able to do so until Friday. I'm having a busy time with exams this week. I did notice that for some reason, this problem has no effect on AOL at all, but it does affect my IE and Mozilla Firefox browsers so I can at least get my research done until the problem is fixed. I just thought that was interesting though. I'll reply again as soon as I can follow all of the instructions that you gave me. Thanks.
