It was suggested that I post a log and see if anything is going on. Since I have no idea about this side of it, I'll rely on those who are more knowledgable than I. ~Trotter ===================================== Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 11:43:49 PM, on 2/27/2005 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\PELMICED.EXE C:\Program Files\BroadJump\Client Foundation\CFD.exe C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust EZ Armor\eTrust EZ Antivirus\CAVTray.exe C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust EZ Armor\eTrust EZ Antivirus\ISafe.exe C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust EZ Armor\eTrust EZ Antivirus\CAVRID.exe C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust EZ Armor\eTrust EZ Firewall\ca.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust EZ Armor\eTrust EZ Antivirus\VetMsg.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ZoneLabs\vsmon.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\msiexec.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Lamar\Desktop\Tech\HijackThis.exe R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://channels.aimtoday.com/search/aimtoolbar.jsp R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.emachines.com R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/sb/ymsgr/*http://www.yahoo.com/ext/search/search.html R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/stp/ymsgr*http://my.yahoo.com R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://my.netzero.net/s/search?r=minisearch R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings,ProxyOverride = 64.136.29.30;64.136.21.30;64.136.29.34;searchap.untd.com;127.0.0.1;localhost;*windowsupdate.microsoft.com;*windowsupdate.com;*wustat.windows.com;*.pogo.com;*test-speed.com;<local> R3 - URLSearchHook: URLSearchHook Class - {37D2CDBF-2AF4-44AA-8113-BD0D2DA3C2B8} - C:\Program Files\NZSearch\SearchEnh1.dll N3 - Netscape 7: user_pref("browser.search.defaultengine", "engine:// C%3A%5CProgram%20Files%5CNetscape%5CNetscape%206%5 Csearchplugins%5CSBWeb_01.src"); (C:\Documents and Settings\Lamar\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\f8oyws5q.slt\prefs.js) O2 - BHO: Yahoo! I have never seen some of this. Posted by: southernlady You are currently using HijackThis from a temporary directory, this can cause problems. HijackThis creates backups, these are needed in case of any recovery issues. Please create a directory on your C:\ drive called C:\HJT, download and unzip HijackThis into that directory. Run the program from that directory from now on. STEPS For Creating Folder
1. Please go to My Computer, open your C:\ drive, Select: New >> Folder and name the folder HJT. One of your problems is too many toolbars...they clog up stuff and tend to collect adware/spyware even benign spyware. So we need to remove most of them, except the one with your ISP which I am assuming is NetZero. Also, one entry we need to fix is a proxy override and when we do that, you will probably lose your connection to the internet. I hope you have restore points. You need to go back to one far enough back to before all this started happening and go from there. You will lose things you installed doing that but you will regain access to online, or you can reinstall NetZero. But copy and paste this to notepad and ptint it out since you may not have access to online. Run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close ALL windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked" R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://channels.aimtoday.com/search/aimtoolbar.jsp R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cus...rch/search.html R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cus...://my.yahoo.com R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Internet Settings, ProxyOverride = 64.136.29.30;64. 136.21.30;64. 136.29.34; searchap. untd.com; 127.0.0.1; localhost;* windowsupdate. microsoft.com;* windowsupdate.com;* wustat. windows.com;* .pogo.com;*test-speed.com;<local> R3 - URLSearchHook: URLSearchHook Class - {37D2CDBF-2AF4-44AA-8113-BD0D2DA3C2B8} - C:\Program Files\NZSearch\SearchEnh1.dll O3 - Toolbar: AOL Toolbar - {4982D40A-C53B-4615-B15B-B5B5E98D167C} - C:\Program Files\AOL Toolbar\toolbar.dll O3 - Toolbar: JunoBar - {5854FAC4-5BF0-47DD-B5A9-A5EA8CFF3CF4} - C:\Program Files\Juno\toolbar.dll O3 - Toolbar: AIM Search - {40D41A8B-D79B-43d7-99A7-9EE0F344C385} - C:\Program Files\AIM Toolbar\AIMBar.dll O8 - Extra context menu item: &AIM Search - res://C:\Program Files\AIM Toolbar\AIMBar.dll/aimsearch.htm O8 - Extra context menu item: &AOL Toolbar search - res://C:\Program Files\AOL Toolbar\toolbar.dll/SEARCH.HTML O8 - Extra context menu item: Display All Images with Full Quality - res://C:\Program Files\Juno\qsacc\appres.dll/228 O8 - Extra context menu item: Display Image with Full Quality - res://C:\Program Files\Juno\qsacc\appres.dll/227 O8 - Extra context menu item: Yahoo!
