I played SubSpace for 6 years, and I just quit this spring, and I played Ragnarok Online for 3 years, and I just quit a couple months ago. I kinda miss Ragnarok Online, but I won't play it again! It's too addicting!!! Wolfenstein, Doom, Doom 2, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, Hexen, Blood, Redneck Rampage etc were all far more influencial and without these Goldeneye wouldn't exist. It just means you like to play games, and that's your genre. If you list a bunch of games that were released all at relatively the same time, you don't have a "Most Addicting Game"...you have a "Most Addicting Genre." Now, even though I like most FPS...I've played Half-Life for more total hours than any other game, and I've procrastinated more to play that game than any other game. Therefore, Half-Life is my "Most Addicting Game." I also play UT a lot, DOOM3 a lot, and MOH a lot...but they aren't my [B]most[/B] addicting game. But the game that had me hooked the most was the Dizzy series by codemasters (the egg bloke). Senior year in high school (Fall 2001-Spring 2002), my friends and I would play that game literally 4 hours a night for at least 3 nights a week. Now we're in college, but whenever we see each other during holidays, we still get together to "smash" as we call it. I've easily put more hours into that game than any other. Diablo 2 is horribly addicting. But there is a point that, one time when you die, you are IMMEDIATELY sick of the game and say you will never play it again. Then tomorrow comes... I think we are all forgetting the single most addictive game of all time... Solitare. The one that comes with Windows. You cannot sit there and tell me you havent playerd solitare for hours. Missing things, not doing your schoolwork because of it. I think Solitare is a major bane on society and should be uninvented. Now, to go play some solitare... The thing is, with FPS its harder to spend hours and hours without stopping, with games such as D2, its MUCH easier to "accidently" play till 4 am, and find out u got 2-3 hours left to sleep b4 school :D I now am addicted to WoW, and am surprised no1 has mentionned it here yet. Man its **** addicting, especially once u get into the game, the beginning can be annoying. Though not into it myself, I have 2 friends who are COMPLETELY absorbed by it, and atleast 3 others who are being dragged into the pit hour by hour. And when I mean absorbed, I mean 10 hours a day, and sometimes skipping school JUST to play it. For me... I havn't had one lately. Havn't been overly impressed by current games replay value. I used to work with this guy (25) and everytime I talked to him, without fail EVERY time, he would tell me about some time when he was tooling on a level 48 necromancer or something. It got so annoying, thats all he did. You could never call him because, dial up, he was ALWAYS on Everquest. It plays SWEET on my new rig :p It also has so many mods, tracks, cars, sounds ect. ect. that you will get tired of downloading....lol For anybody that is into simulation racing, this would be for you....it also does have an arcade mode for those not so serious. But CS:S ive caught the disease. You get on it and die within 20 seconds and have to wait 3 mins to play again , during that time your cursing at CS:S and how it made your faveorite rifle less powerfull and how the whole game is against you and so for next round you try and provie it wrong by changeing your weapon and killing everyone on a rampage, that day hasnt come for me yet (ive had it 3 days) but tahts whats got me hooked. Its so rewarding when you snipe some newbs (like me) head off with a Scout or AWP.....
