Don't you have a sound card to plug it into?

Why only USB the Sennheiser PC 140 and 150 are awesome Headsets for the price but they aren't USB

The mic jack on my asus p5n sli doesn't work, and I don't want to RMA it, and the only soundcard i could afford if I was buying a headset would be like a 30 dollar soundblaster audigy SE.

Posted by: Sora

the SE is not a bad soundcard at all. I own one and it is a noticeable difference than my Onboard that came with my Biostar 965PT.

then I'll probably pick one of those up, I know I should replace my asus p5n but i just dont want all the hassle so ill live w/ it.

Yea get one man...they are much better than onboard and cheap.

I know logitech makes a decent USB model that is under $50.

I don't know a lot about computers or what soundcards have to be compatible w/ so i'm just making sure that this will work w/ my rig.

is this a good headset, and is it USB or not? I can't find that anywhere, if it's USB i wont' get it, but this + the soundcard price is the right ammount for me after spending 2 gs on my computer.

This is the the one I have and it appears to be the exact same thing..don't know what makes the other one different.

If getting a new sound card, all you need is a spare PCI slot. Just about every computer I've seen still uses PCI.

there are only a very small amount of sound cards thatuse a different interface method. Most non-PCI cards are USB, and a few are PCI-E

Thats the same headset I have. It's not USB and it's a good headset for only 20 dollars.
