Holy crap, anyone else seen it? Downright one of the coolest movies I've ever seen. It's an orgasm for the eyes. It's all I can think about.... :D :D :D :D :D :D Posted by: Enterpriser Is that the movie about the Battle of Thermopylae? What I never got about that was, yes, there were only 300 Spartans, but also 700 Thespian volunteers. None the less a show of true courage, and a fine battle. :) Posted by: Rundat I never seen a movie theater so packed. Best action movie I've seen in years. Posted by: Trotter I'm planning on going to see this one. Posted by: Mr. Switch Just saw it Posted by: Nubius just saw it as well. SUCKED, omg what suckage...it couldn't have sucked any more. nah it was co0 Posted by: homerj14 just got back, I appreciate the history behind the movie but the way it was depicted wasn't my style, most people will say other wise because of the director but I dont want to see Fake landscape every scene, fake people, and fake blood , and CGI everywhere, what happened to good movies? Platoon for the win :D Posted by: Mr. Switch I just have one more thing to add. Red Sauce On Pasta. yup, coulnd't exactly take that one seriously. Platoon for the
Uhhh, then dont go see a movie based off of Frank Millers graphic novels. The whole point of the movie was to be surreal and hyper-realistic, exaggerated, over-glorified, etc..etc... Platoon was complete opposite of that................... It's based off on one of Miller's graphic novels, fit it just fine. If you look at the novel and look at the movie you will see why it has this artistic look to it, and they did an excellent job at it. It's nice to see something like this than just another war movie using the same effects that have been used for a couple of decades. Gets old you know. http://www.solaceincinema.com/2006/10/04/300-comic-to-screen-comparison/ Saw it yesterday, excellent movie, one of the few movies I am actually willing to buy a copy of. To be honest I won't mind going to see it again in DLP at the movie theater again. Posted by: M733mhz I might go see this one, Looks like a gooden. Posted by: FireFox I doubt I'll go see it, but I'll definitely rent the DVD when it comes out. Posted by: AMD6415 me and some of my friends went and seen it last night we all loved it though it was one of the best movies we have seen in a long time :D Posted by: Prophaniti dammit Nubius, cant believe u saw this before me, im pretty sure I told u about this a while back too going to see it tonight Posted by: Nubius
dammit Nubius, cant believe u saw this before me, im pretty sure I told u about this a while back too
Man, startin with that "pretty sure I told you about it" stuff already! I saw the preview for it months ago and that was when I first heard about it. Don't remember what movie I had gone to see at the time. Posted by: thebleakness
Originally posted by FireFox I doubt I'll go see it, but I'll definitely rent the DVD when it comes out.
IMO this is a movie that needs to be seen in theaters. There's so much stuff going on seeing it on the big screen is amazing. Just shell out the $8 and see it, cheapskate! :p Posted by: FireFox It's actually $5.50, and that isn't the problem. Anyway, the TV in my family room will just have to suffice. Posted by: Enterpriser What is with your cheap ticket prices? I have to pay $10.00, ten! Also student ID discounts only work on Fridays and Saturdays here. Posted by: thebleakness It's actually $6 here if you've got student ID and that's all day, all week long. :D I didn't have my ID so I payed the full price. I remember being ****ed off when they raised the price last year some time, still isnt close to $10 hahah. :p Posted by: Prophaniti I spent $10 Canadian (student discount) at an AMC to see it yesterday night soooo good, man that Captain is crazy, hes at the very top of my "do not screw with" list now tjos movie needs to be seen in theatres or in HD .. anything else is blasphemy Posted by: Beefcake Normally I could care less about watching at home in non HD vs movie theater, but this is one of the few movies that I absolutely have to recommend seeing in theaters. One of the first movies I've seen in "DLP" at a theater, basically it's HD widescreen except at the movies. I will say if you're looking for absolute realism, you won't find it in this movie, it's not meant to be there. Posted by: Snake-Eyes I was going to see it Saturday, but i got sick as a dog, and i'm still not feeling a whole lot better.
