My friend that is trying to lan at my house is trying to play but when he loads up his computer it loads quickly then goes to a black screen, he wants to know what to do.

With the abundance of information you have provided such as video card, mobo, processor, etc, i would guess there is an issue with the video card.

Check the video card fan and see if it's working properly. I had a fan go out on a video card and experianced similar issues.

hey try this:
Open ur cabinet and clean ur RAM..........and insert the RAM back.Or even insert RAM in other slot.Now start the system...

I think this will solve ur problem...if doesn't than:

Can u listen some beeps sounds during the start up,if yes count the number of beeps and tell me here.
