well, the problem is that when i max out my speakers or my headphones without any music or anything playing, i can hear this noise... like an electromagnetic interference... along with some tick tack noise, but it's faster than a clock... i don`t know how to explain it really, but if anyone here has encountered such problem and knows the solution, it would be greatly appreciatted

Hello,

Are you using onboard audio? If so, what onboard audio are you using? If not, what sound card are you using?

Does the interference occur with other headphones, or using speakers, and what headphones are you using?

Unfornately, so long as there's electonic devices, interference can be difficult to eliminate. One common cause of that constant and annoying buzzing you sometimes hear through audio equipment, is ground loops.

But cheap audio equipment (headphones, speakers, soundcards / onboard audio) can be the cause of the annoying 'buzzing' or 'humming'.

i`m using an integrated sound card, and it occurs with any headphones or speakers that i`ve tried. And what's "ground loops"? My headphones are Creative HQ-1700, so i couldn`t call them "cheap equipment"

Try to mute CD AUDIO. This fixes interference 90% of the time. The other 10% is due to it just being onboard audio and you'll have to get a sound card to get rid of it.

well that made it a little quieter, but it is still there

this is the answer, so if one doesn't fix it try the other one
