Parallels gaming??

I was wondering if anyone out there has been gaming on xp (or vista) through parallels. I started out using an Imac waaaaaay back when (a gamecube has more processing power than that thing), and then I switched to a peecee because I'm too lazy to make a special trip for software/was tired of a comp with 64 Mb of ram. The new intel chips in macs are awesome from what I've heard and parallels is as well, but I'm wondering if hardcore gaming is possible on a 'virtual machine'. Can anyone out there help me?

Virtualization, in any form, slows the effects of all of your components. I do not recommend trying it.

I second that Parallels should not be used for games, but I do recommenced using Bootcamp. As far as I can tell, there is not any difference in speed from bootcamp and a regular Windows machine.
