Mostly just Halo and Age Of Empires 1,2,3 and such.. but no one can connect to me. I've been trying to use Port Forwarding but it hasn't worked... I've trying tell them to connect using all the IP's I can find and they just can't connect to me. I now have my computer set up to a static IP (192.168.1.136) and then I set that to DMZ... not sure what that means but it says it opens up all the ports on that computer. But no one can connect... wtf. Any suggestions or links to places that will help me? (I've been searching for a long time before I asked... believe me...) Thanks, Dave Posted by: RyanS Here is a summary of what you need to to get your friends to connect to you: *configure your game servers properly *configure your router to forward all incoming data on ports xxxx-xxxx to your internal IP address *ensure any local firewalls on the game server are configured to allow incoming access *give your friends your public IP address (this is not the 192.x.x.x address) & make sure they configure their game to talk to this IP address. If you need specific help on one of these steps please let us know, in detail, what you are having trouble with. Regards Posted by: COD2_fanatic eek, i'm afraid you may be out of luck, i have the same router and have had NO luck with DMZ and opening ports and such. Only thing i can recommend is using "Hiamchi" its a virtual networking tool (just do a google search), my buddy introduced it to me and its worked with most of my games, only i couldnt get to work was Counter Strike Source Posted by: finaldrumgod Well, the problem I'm having must be in the "configure your router to forward all incoming data on ports xxxx-xxxx to your internal IP address" step... but I'm doing everything I'm supposed to so I don't understand what the deal is. I made sure all the ports are open but nothing happens, and DMZ didn't work for me. Posted by: RyanS If you are sure you have configured the router correctly then double check the other steps that are required to make everything work. vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited.
