Madcatz game pad?

I bought the Madcatz gamepad from a Local EB it's an xbox 360 type controller and it has a USB interface and a "Designed for windows XP" sticker on it so I had full intentions of using it with my computer. When I pop it in the windows installer thing pops up and says it can't find the software, Which I was not aware existed since the controller did not come with a CD to install it. Is there anyway around this? Are there drivers for these controllers? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nah, I even downloaded the xbox 360 driver. I think I'm just gonna have to take it back and get a legit 360 controller.

NO No No, don't take it back. I have the same one. go to microsofts website. Use there drivers there. You can d/l them. Then it works just fine. :D

XB 360 controller is a xb 360 controller they have to have the same firmware and stuff. So the same drivers you d/l for the microsoft version will work for the madcatz.

Wow, Thanks a ton. I've generally had bad luck with Madcatz so I just thought it was a crappy controller. I found the MS drivers and got it working. Saved me the hassle of dealing with EB again and buying a new controller.
